Mous Intralock Motorcycle Phone Mount Review
This review is based on our own personal experiences using the Mous Mobile Phone Holder on our round the world motorcycle trip.
We have been riding our motorcycles around the world since 1st January 2018. For the first two months of our trip we used a Sat Nav, but quickly realised it wasn’t for us.
They’re great if you’re on a tour or have a short trip and want to load all your way points and follow a specific route, but for travelling and day-to-day use, having your phone up front is so much easier, quicker and efficient. We can plot our routes on our phone using Google Maps or Maps.Me and go, without having to then upload those to a sat nav.
We sent our sat nav home and have tried a bunch of different motorcycle phone mounts over the years. But now we’ve found the perfect companion – Mous.
How it works
This system is super easy to use. We fit the Mous Intralock to our handlebar. Next we got a Mous phone case (my phone is a Google Pixel 6), then attached the Mous Intralock converter to the back of the case. And that’s it. I simply push the phone onto the mount, it clicks and is locked in place. To release I just push the tabs on the phone mount and it releases. It takes seconds.
Features
The Intralock phone mount can be used with Mous’s Intralock cases, or if they don’t have a case for your phone, you can simply get the converter and stick it to the back of your case.
The bar mount comes with four spacers to fit a range of handlebars (31.8, 28.6, 25.4 and 22.2mm) and a hex key.
It’s easy to fit the mount to your bar, just choose the spacer for your bar, release the locking bolt, wrap the mount around and then tighten into place.
It has a movable arm, so you can get the angle of your phone perfect.
Why we love it
The main reason I love this phone mount is because it’s so easy to use. I used to use a mount where my phone lived inside a case, but as time went on the case got scratched up and I couldn’t see my screen and it would mist too.
The Mous uses a simple click on click off system. It has kept my phone securely in place for the last 35,000kms riding through North, Central and South America and I have no damage to the camera or the phone.
I plot my route on my phone, press go and just push it into place. When I get off my bike to go for a coffee or to take a picture, it’s an easy push button and the phone is released. Easy peasy.
