Features
Lomo produce a range of motorcycle pannier sizes (all of which we have tried, tested and reviewed). And these crash bar bags are the smallest of the bunch because they are specifically designed to be attached onto crash bars at the front of your motorcycle – so they need to be light and small.
Each bag is 6.5 litres (13 total capacity). When rolled down and closed the dimensions are 29cm height x 21.5cm width x 14.5cm depth.
The Lomo crash bar bags are made from waterproof PVC with welded seams and use a roll top closure system with a buckle either side.
The bags use webbing straps to tie them to your crash bars and have compression straps to reduce their size.
What’s good?
When travelling on a motorcycle, you need to carry a lot of gear and weight distribution becomes very important. It’s too easy to just load all of your heavy items in panniers and a top box and forget about it. So having crash bar bags massively helps in redistributing that weight and evening it out.
Heavy and inexpensive items can be stashed up front, like spare parts, food, water bottles, tyre levers etc. We also put kit in there we regularly use, but don’t want to have to rummage through our panniers for and are happy to leave on the bike overnight like waterproofs, spare gloves, trainers/flip-flops and food.
These bags do the job they were made for perfectly. They’re lightweight, easy to fix on and use, are completely waterproof and provide handy storage and access. But they don’t have to be used up front, you could use them as rear panniers if you only need to carry a small amount of luggage like for example if you’re trail riding. Or they can be attached onto hard panniers for additional storage space.
What’s not?
There are no negatives for these bags. Well made, exceptional value for money and do their job perfectly.

The bags themselfs are sturdy enough to survive the inevitable falls (tested a couple of times already) but the plastic clips that hold the straps won’t survive even a lightest nap and brake immediately. I’ve cut all the clips off the bags and use them with small rock straps. Much sturdier now.

We haven’t had any issues with our clips (we have four of these bags, two on each bike) and have had them for years, so i’m surprised your clips have broken. But that’s an excellent idea on the Rok Straps. I’m assuming you use the thin straps for that and not the big long ones?
