“The JagBag silk liner is a premium bit of kit and an essential for travellers. The material is incredibly soft and silky smooth on the skin, it keeps your sleeping bag clean, keeps you both warm and cool and is a life-saver in dodgy hotels. It’s a must for us and we don’t travel without it. ”

Features
JagBag is a sleeping bag liner made from 100% habatoi silk. The bags are made in New Zealand and sold in the UK by a Scotland based company called Terrevista Trails.
The bags come in a variation of sizes and colours. There are also three different styles to choose from:
- Deluxe bag: includes a pillow slot and opening flap
- Standard: rectangle shape with one open end
- Mummy: shaped for mummy sleeping bags with built in hood and pillow slot
If none of the above work for your needs, Terrevistatrails can custom make specific bags for you.
What’s good?
Here’s why we love our JagBag…
As we’re riding our motorcycles round-the-world, we camp the majority of the time and so our sleeping bags are in constant use. Using a the JagBag liner has a number of benefits.
Hygiene
Firstly, the liner keeps the sleeping bag clean, and it’s far easier to clean a fast drying silk liner once a week than a hefty sleeping bag, especially as we’re travelling and can’t wait four years for our sleeping bag to dry.
Warmth and wicking
Using the silk liner keeps us warm in colder climates as it acts as an extra layer inside the sleeping bag.
Silk also has fantastic wicking properties, which helps it wick moisture from the body in warmer climates. If it’s particularly hot, we leave the sleeping bags and just use the liner in the tent. We’ve found it especially useful on our rides through Japan and Southeast Asia.
Hotels and hostels
We use the bag even when we’re not camping. We’ve ended up in one too many suspect hotels with dodgy looking sheets. We just whip out our JagBag and climb inside instead. It also doubles up as a comfortable blanket on long journeys too.
What’s not?
There are many liners out there on the market, and plenty of ‘silk’ liners too. But more often than not, they’re artificial silk or silk blended with another fibre. The reason we have used JagBags for so long is because they’re pure silk, incredibly well made and the best we’ve found.
They are more expensive than the average sleeping bag liner, but you’re paying for a quality, premium silk product that works. Liners that claim to be pure silk with a low price tag probably aren’t genuine.
