Hi Everyone,

We are planning to visit Portugal in May/June 2022.

I would like to know if someone have any routes suggestions/tips for 5 days riding days.

Or will 5 days be to long or short to explore the Algarve? We will fly in on Faro.

We would like to see nature and nice scenery and avoid highways most as possible.
No dirttracking
😉 but just nice cruising and some nice curvy roads.

Thanks everyone

best regards

Ben

Hi Ben,

Sounds like a brilliant getaway! Portugal in June - excellent!
Have you checked out the Portugal Destination Guides page on this site?

On there you'll find the Portugal Travel Guide for Motorcyclists which is packed with info on best places to visit, paperwork, things to do, accommodation etc etc.
And there's another article which links to the Recommended Motorcycle Rental and Tour Companies page just in case you're thinking of renting or even if you're on your own bike and want a guided tour - might be helpful.

Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip mate and all the best,

Cheers,

Andy

@benniehill Hi, I have a good suggestion for you, check out www.simonweir.co.uk and take a look at his downloadable GPX routes. I believe he has some for the Algarve and they're priced at about 70p per route so very, very fair. Simon is former editor of RiDE magazine, has authored motorcycle touring books as well as a contributor to this site. He's exceptionally knowledgeable and I reckon his downloadable routes are exactly what you need.

Hope this helps, please feel free to get back in touch if you need anything else!

Cheers,

Andy
